How ELA Certification Works
1. Prepare — Meet the eligibility requirements in your credential’s ECO. ELS™ requires experienced, currently serving leaders; no mandatory training.
2. Apply — Submit a free application when open. Payment follows acceptance. ELS™ opening is planned for Q1 2027.
3. Demonstrate — Complete the required assessments. ELS™ requires separate passes in the case study, Aether exam and 360 Leader.
4. Maintain — Continue professional development and renew under your credential’s requirements.
ELA defines the competencies, evidence, scoring criteria and certification decisions. Aether delivers the knowledge exam against ELA’s human-defined standards. For ELS™, completed 360 results and individual case feedback are provided whether the candidate passes or fails.
